Four drawers built from 100% solid mango wood with a finish that does not get in the way of what the material is. The Olimpia Chest is finished in a multi-step lacquer with a tequila color stain that lets the mango grain come through fully, and the natural knots in the wood surface are part of the character rather than something to be corrected. Finger joints and floated top construction reinforce the structure at the slab level, while mortise and tenon joinery holds the case together as a whole. Ball-bearing metal glides on all four drawers provide smooth, reliable operation, and the English dovetail drawer fronts add a construction quality detail that holds up to years of daily use. Custom gold-aged pulls finish the piece consistently with the rest of the Olimpia line.
