A “Mission Statement” may seem old-fashioned, and many consider manufacturing to be “old school.” But is it really? Or is manufacturing the future?
At Sleeptronic® we see a renaissance underway for American manufacturing and are proud to be playing a small part in the revitalization of the American industrial economy. Sleeptronic mattresses are manufactured in the United States and include components sourced from both the U.S.A. and abroad.
As our company moves forward, every day is an adventure made possible by the hard work of our employees, the loyalty of our customers, and the investments of our owners. Sentimental? Optimistic? Yes to all of that and more. So go ahead and call us old-fashioned—here is our mission statement.
The Mission of Sleeptronic Is…
…to manufacture exceptional and affordable mattresses!
Guiding Principles
Our company is guided by the following principles. Sleeptronic® strives to:
- Manufacture mattresses that provide a great sleep experience for consumers at all income levels. We believe that everyone deserves a great night’s sleep!
- Create a progressive work environment that fosters both personal and professional growth for our employees. We believe that our staff is our greatest resource!
- Operate our business honestly and in a way that produces a fair return on investment for our owners and stakeholders. We believe in the American Dream!
Manufactured in Fort Worth, Texas
All Sleeptronic® mattresses are proudly manufactured in the United States of America in a state-of-the-art, 200,000-square-foot factory located in Fort Worth, Texas.
Each handcrafted mattress is built using industry-leading equipment and incorporates the best of American engineering and design.
Sleeptronic mattresses are assembled in the United States from components produced in the United States and also include components sourced from Canada, Mexico, and abroad.
Because Sleeptronic® mattresses are manufactured in the USA, they arrive at authorized retailers only a few days after they are manufactured, versus eight to ten weeks or more for comparable imported products.
Materials and Sustainability
At Sleeptronic®, our commitment to the environment is best described as a journey of continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with suppliers and customers, the Sleeptronic® BioSleep® Sustainability Initiative supports the company’s goal of serving as a trusted, environmentally conscious manufacturer of high-quality mattresses and foundations.
Sleeptronic® takes great pride in the design of its products and carefully selects the components used to manufacture them. Mattresses made with polyurethane foam use foams carrying CertiPUR-US® certification. This certification provides assurance that the foams are made without:
- Formaldehyde
- Ozone depleters
- PBDEs, TDCPP, or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants
- Mercury, lead, and other heavy metals
CertiPUR-US® certification also indicates that these materials have been tested to meet rigorous standards for emissions, content, performance, and durability.
B. Transportation
In cooperation with its transportation providers, Sleeptronic® uses modern technology and fuel-efficient equipment to reduce unnecessary miles. Whenever possible, trailers are loaded to capacity to maximize fuel efficiency and minimize repeat trips. Inbound raw materials are often compressed and bundled to improve transportation efficiency.
C. Scrap Recovery and Recycling
Sleeptronic® recycles nearly all waste products produced throughout the manufacturing process, including cardboard, paper, foam scraps, steel, wood packaging, and fabric trimmings. Many of these materials are returned to suppliers, sold to aligned industries, or repurposed for products such as carpet padding.
D. Energy-Efficient Operation
Skylights throughout the facility provide natural illumination, while high-efficiency LED lighting and motion sensors help reduce energy use. High-efficiency air movers maximize cross-ventilation and circulation throughout the manufacturing operation.
E. Supplier Selection
Sleeptronic® sources raw materials and components from environmentally conscious suppliers that actively work to minimize their environmental impact.
