Mango wood is not a material that needs a heavy finish to look good, and the Olimpia Bed proves it. Built from 100% solid mango, a durable and sustainable species, the headboard and platform are finished in a multi-step lacquer with a tequila color stain that lets the natural grain come through clearly. The design is clean and rounded, with a balance between minimalism and warmth that makes it easier to build a bedroom around than furniture that pushes a stronger visual identity. Floated top construction and finger joints on each slab add structural strength without making the construction visible, and mortise and tenon joinery keeps everything in the frame solid. No box spring is required, and the bed is available in Queen and Eastern King. Natural knots on the wood surface are inherent to mango and contribute to each piece's individual character.
